Adelphi is seeking highly qualified and licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support the delivery of speech-language services to students in school settings in Texas. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will assist in implementing IEP-related therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with educational teams to promote student success in communication.

Requirements:
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
• Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education compliance preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based intervention strategies for diverse populations
Responsibilities:
• Implement speech-language therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP, in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Provide intervention sessions using appropriate techniques and materials as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Assist with preparing therapy materials, maintaining equipment, and organizing documentation.
• Collect and document accurate data on student progress and communicate findings to supervising SLP.
• Support screenings and informal assessments as directed, without interpreting data or making clinical decisions.
• Follow protocols, ethical guidelines, and procedures for service delivery as defined by state regulations and SLP oversight.
• Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support student communication needs in the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and adhere to all school district policies.
• Attend team meetings and participate in training or continuing education opportunities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of SLPA practice.
