**Job Title: Sample Sewer** **Job Description** As a Sewer, you will be responsible for spreading, marking, and cutting fabric with precision and accuracy. Your role will be integral to the textile production process, ensuring that all cuts are straight and piles are even, following patterns or markings. **Responsibilities** + Spread, mark, and cut fabric efficiently. + Cut multiple layers of material into parts, ensuring cuts are straight and piles are even, following pattern or markings. + Sharpen cutter blade or change blades as necessary to maintain cutting precision. + Clean up the cut table, separating cutting waste according to color and disposing of scrap properly. + Clean, lubricate, and store electric fabric cutter after use. + Perform other duties as needed or assigned. **Essential Skills** + Proficient in production and machine operation. + Experienced in saw cutting techniques. + 3-4 years experience in a textile environment. + Ability to measure and mark accurately. + Experience in actual machine fabric cutting. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and diverse team in the clothing manufacturing industry, where you can apply your skills in a largely Spanish-speaking environment. The role requires interaction with various machinery and adherence to safety protocols. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent placement position based out of Hawthorne, California. 1st Shift starting at 8am Pay can range anywhere from $20-23+ depending on experience **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
